Programs

With the exception of the kids Jiu Jitsu program, all Reflex Jiu Jitsu classes are open to each member of the academy regardless of physical fitness or skill level. Every class is structured to fill the needs of beginners and accomplished veterans alike.

Kids Jiu Jitsu – Open to any child, ages 6  to 13. Our kids jiu jitsu program is designed to teach the young student the art of Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu by progressively teaching them each technique professionally and in a safe/clean environment. Your child will learn all of the character building techniques developed by the world famous Gracie family, to help them build confidence and a structure for effective self defence and bully stopping power.

Adult Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – In this class you will learn the beautiful art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Our academy is built and maintained around this progressive martial art. During these one hour classes you will learn how to defeat an opponent through the use of leverage, control, and submission. This class covers all aspects of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, including but not limited to, grip control, submissions, sweeps, joint manipulation, takedowns, escapes, and theories.

Gracie Jiu Jitsu basics –  You will learn everything you need to know so that you can effectively defend yourself in a street situation during this class. A great place for the beginner to start their journey or the seasoned veteran to sharpen their skills. This is the perfect setting to take yourself to the blue belt level and beyond in Gracie Jiu Jitsu.

Advanced Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - Advanced BJJ will let you take your skills to the limits by putting you in a Jiu Jitsu specific cardio training situation. This class will let you use drills and movements to get your heart rate up while improving your Jiu Jitsu at the same time. Perfect for the casual user looking to shed some pounds or the advanced competitor looking to enter any competition. This class will also discuss and implement the competitive Brazilian Jiu jitsu point system.

No Gi Grappling/ MMA grappling - Both of these classes have been developed to give the practitioner the knowledge to use their Jiu Jitsu techniques in the MMA cage or on the submission wrestling mat. This class is the perfect supplement to your basic or advanced Jiu Jitsu training as well as a key element to any MMA training.

Striking - A great place to get the striking skills needed for MMA or plain old self defense. In this class you will learn all of the techniques to make yourself a skilled opponent to any defender. Punching, kicking, footwork, proper stance, and counter punching will all be included in this curriculum.

Boxing Basics – Also a great class to begin your journey as a striker, boxer, or MMA fighter. You will be learning all of the basic skills needed to effectively advance in a boxing situation as well as give yourself a great cardio workout at the same time. A wonderful class for the casual user as well as the member interested in pursuing a boxing career.

MMA / Kickboxing fitness - This is a wonderfully structured class for the fitness minded person looking to shed some pounds quickly and efficiently. Also the perfect class for the proficient MMA fighter looking to add that extra edge to his time in the cage. Get your heart rate up, increase your awareness and health, all while using the same workouts your favorite MMA fighters are using.
